New Business Sales - Cyber Security

The Role

Trams|Econocom is a long-established and trusted IT reseller to customers such as BBC, SKY UK, Manchester United TV, Burberry, and many more in M&E and Corporate environments.

We are expanding our Cyber Security practice to sell into corporate markets and require an experienced salesperson to generate interest. The successful applicant will work with our sales team to develop and sell cybersecurity products and solutions to both existing and new customers.

Selling a select range of appliance, software & SaaS-based products, the ideal candidate will have a high level of current knowledge and proven multi-vendor experience within these areas with experience across a range of verticals selling at C level.

Covering solutions based around endpoint, network/perimeter & virtualisation security, you must also have a demonstrable understanding of network & data security best practices, as well as up-to-date knowledge of IT governance risk and compliance.

You will have the benefit of our in-house technical team to help you specify and design the right solution to match customer requirements. You will also be expected to work closely with the Business Development Managers at each manufacturer and our Distribution Partners. All of our vendors are fully supportive of our efforts, and they will provide you with the necessary assistance to help you succeed in this exciting new role.

The role will report directly to the Head of Sales and require close collaboration on a mutual business plan.

Essential Experience & Skills to Include:

  • Sales experience of Tier 1 Cyber Vendors Crowdstrike, Darktrace, Check Point, Palo Alto etc.
  • Experience and evidence of carrying a minimum of a £300k+ Gross profit target (per Annum).
  • Experience with selling both cloud and on-premises solutions.
  • Hunter mentality and comfortable working in an environment with a high focus on outbound lead generation.
  • Excellent ‘Business Sense’ for evaluating sales opportunities in a dynamic environment.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills and able to adapt these depending on the client.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills: needs analysis, positioning, and business justification and closing.
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a highly professional approach
  • An understanding and experience of how to promote complex technology solutions
  • Solid experience working with Data and managing a CRM
  • Able to work on your own and be driven to succeed

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 p.a. (depending on experience and proven track record) + Commission (OTE Approx £100K+ uncapped)

Schedule: Monday to Friday. 09:00 – 17:30
The role would be considered a hybrid role, with the successful candidate expected to be able to travel to the London HQ a minimum of 3 days per week.
